GTA 6 Teaser Trailer Reveals Nine Law Enforcement Types

It is not uncommon for frogs and snakes to take a dip in people’s pools but when an alligator makes its way into your home, it can be quite the mess. Thankfully, Florida is well-equipped to deal with such animal encounters.

Joel Franco from Miami (or Vice City) has started a series of GTA 6 trailer comparison videos that demonstrate the level of detail Rockstar Games went to in creating the game’s setting. He spotted many real-life features including large cargo ships that move.

Ocean Beach Police Department

The trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 is out, and it shows that Rockstar developers are set to take players back to a Miami-inspired version of modern-day South Florida. From women twerking on top of moving cars to street art-lined Wynwood walls, the teaser trailer is packed with all the hallmarks of GTA.

The Ocean Beach Police Department is the main law enforcement agency for the fictional city of Ocean Beach. Officers wear generic navy police uniforms and carry a Beretta 92FS sidearm. They patrol the streets and respond to 911 calls.

Port Gellhorn Police Department

Rumors and speculation abound that GTA 6 will incorporate a variety of exciting new gameplay features. Some of these include enhanced police interactions and several new criminal activities including money laundering and robbery.

Leaked footage also suggests the game will feature new locations like Port Gellhorn and Rockridge. The former is reportedly inspired by Panama City and the latter could be based on Little Havana, a district featured in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The community expects a large map that will allow players to explore these vibrant and dynamic virtual environments.

Kelly County Police Department

Rockstar’s new game takes place in Leonida County, a stylized version of modern-day South Florida. The trailer showcases a wide range of new locations, including minimarts, a football stadium, and a marina.

The first new character to be seen in the trailer is Lucia, a female who looks like she might be the main protagonist of GTA 6. She appears with Jason as they give off Bonnie and Clyde vibes while robbing a convenience store, complete with Pisswasser on the shelves.

The trailer also shows a new agency called POACH, which is presumably meant to address the exploitation of wildlife in Leonida, given its name.

Leonard County Sheriff’s Office

Several locations were revealed in the trailer, such as Ocean Beach and Port Gellhorn police departments, plus the Leonard County Sheriff’s Office, Leonida Department of Corrections, and the Leonida Highway Patrol. These new agencies could signal a more active police presence in the game.

The trailer also showcases the wild side of Florida, from women twerking on the top of a car to an airboat cruising a swampy Everglades-like area and yachts packed with partygoers. There’s even a shot of an alligator crawling out of a pool.

The trailer also shows Lucia wearing an ankle monitor, suggesting that she’ll get arrested partway through the story and be limited to certain areas. This is similar to how Franklin Clinton and Michael De Santa were restricted by their bail bonds in GTA 5.

Leonida Department of Corrections

After introducing Lucia and her parole officer, the trailer showcases nightlife in Florida’s muggy state of Leonida, with shots of biker gangs terrorizing cities and crocodiles robbing drink stores. We’re also treated to a stunning graphics demo that makes it look like GTA 6 will wring the most out of PS5 and Xbox Series X/XS hardware, with ray-tracing making for some dazzling scenes.

Several crowded scenes highlight an impressive lack of repetition among the pedestrians. One example is a bikini girl who fans believe is Lucia, based on her moles and other distinguishing features.

Leonida Highway Patrol

We’re still waiting for Rockstar to tack on a release date for GTA VI, but the minute-and-a-half trailer suggests that this installment will embrace the series’ trademark humor. The trailer is packed with fake product brands (some of them specific callbacks to GTA V) and double-take versions of real-world cars.

The trailer also reveals some new locations, including an airboat cruising a swampy Everglades-like area and yachts filled with partiers. It also showcases a more realistic police system, with witnesses now giving full descriptions of your appearance and vehicle.

United States Coast Guard

While many of the things we saw in the trailer were a reminder that GTA does not shy away from its trademark humor, there was also a lot to take in. Whether it was the girl in the string bikini attempting to match birthmarks or Lucia in prison, this minute-and-a-half-long trailer brought back some of the series’ best humor.

It also revealed the setting for the game to be a rendition of modern-day South Florida. From women twerking on top of moving vehicles to a man pulling a giant alligator out of a swimming pool, it looks like Rockstar has captured the essence of this locale.
