New LEGO Fortnite Update Buffs All Weapons and Tools

The LEGO Fortnite mode launched this week as a new way to enjoy the popular battle royale game. It looks like a permanent feature moving forward, with Epic Games promising new world-building and gameplay features in updates starting early next year.

One of the biggest complaints players had with the LEGO Fortnite mode was how quickly weapons and tools degraded. Fortunately, Epic fixed a bug that made them unusable.

1. Restored weapon and tool durability

As in most survival crafting games, Lego Fortnite’s axes, pickaxes, swords, and more have a finite amount of durability. Once they deteriorate enough, they’ll break and you’ll need to spend time and resources creating new ones. Luckily, the game has a very simple glitch that allows you to repair weapons and tools for free. To do this, simply build a Small Chest and put any worn-down tool inside of it. Then, destroy the chest and you’ll be able to collect all of your tools back at full durability.

This method is probably going to get patched out soon, but it’s a great way to keep your weapons and tools from breaking as you mine for resources like Flexwood or fight enemies. With the new update, though, Epic Games has decided to buff the tool and weapon durability for all players. It’s a good move since it makes it easier to work in the world without having to constantly craft new weapons and tools.

2. Restored tool repair glitch

In Fortnite, your tools and weapons will degrade over time as you gather resources or battle enemies. While you can reclaim your broken equipment by crafting them at your base, this can be inconvenient and time-consuming.

Thankfully, the latest LEGO Fortnite update restores a glitch that allows players to repair their weapons and tools without having to reclaim them from a Crafting Bench. To use the hack, simply place your weapon or tool in a chest and then break it. It will then drop a fully repaired version of that item.

The LEGO Fortnite update is live now as part of Epic’s ongoing partnership with the brand. The two companies will continue to collaborate on new world-building, gameplay features, and LEGO Style Outfits in updates starting early next year. The first collaboration of this kind between a major game and a major toy franchise, this survival crafting experience lets you experience the thrills of Fortnite with the added LEGO-themed fun of scavenging for resources and fighting off enemies with your friends.

3. Restored tool enchantment

In many survival games, when a tool or weapon’s durability runs out it simply breaks, but in LEGO Fortnite that means you’ll need to craft a new one. However, Epic recently patched out a glitch that allows you to repair tools and weapons.

All you need to do is build a chest from the building furniture tab (you’ll need a lumber mill and shack for the planks) and place your damaged tools and weapons inside. After the chest is built, you can destroy it by punching or using another weapon.

Once your weapons and tools are repaired, you can enchant them to increase their durability further. This can be done with an Essence Table station, which requires 20 Flexwood and six Cut Amber to make. Once crafted, the Table will show you various essences, including the aforementioned Essence of Durability. You can also enchant other items, such as potions and spawn eggs.

4. Restored tool reload time

Epic Games has released a new update to LEGO Fortnite that addresses several issues in the survival game mode. The update fixes a bug that triggered tool durability to degrade when players used them to scavenge for materials. It also restores the ability to reclaim tools after using them at the base, and it fixes the glitch that prevents players from crafting weapons.

Unlike Fortnite’s main battle royale mode, Lego Fortnite is all about survival and crafting. It features a new map and plenty of unique in-game items like the Lego Stud Gun, Workbenches, Beds, Fences, Catapults, Ziplines, Trinkets, and more.

Over 1,200 Outfits received a free LEGO style at the launch of the game, and Epic Games plans to add more LEGO styles over time. The game’s survival world resembles something akin to Minecraft, with players plunging into a LEGO-fied environment full of enemies and resources that need to be gathered. They can craft weapons, gather food, and build defensive shelters to protect themselves from monsters.
