The Future of Minecraft
The Minecraft community has been abuzz over the amazing creation made by Reddit user u/CraftyMasterman. Their video of a huge redstone contraption running a level of the popular rhythm-based platformer has garnered thousands of upvotes and comments in just a day.
The machine uses a series of pressure plates that when activated by the player in-game, cause the square player to jump the way they would in the real-world version of the game. It also features a screen showing the in-game screen as well as a monitor that shows the progress the player is making in the level.
It’s not too difficult to imagine a future where artificial intelligence could be used in this manner to create complex levels in the sandbox game.
